Lakeland Trails Staveley
Lakeland Trails in Staveley is a trail running event that starts and finishes at Staveley Recreation Ground and offers multiple marked and marshalled off-road courses.

Courses run on a mix of footpaths, bridleways and short road sections, with underfoot surfaces varying between tarmac, grassy trails and stony tracks. Routes climb out from Staveley above the Kentmere valley, return along the valley past tarns and through ancient woodland, and include the climb up Reston Scar with a steep descent back into the village. The half marathon route extends over Green Quarter Fell, passes Skeggles Water and enters the Longsleddale area. The final climb on the 10k and half marathon is on private land and may not be recced prior to race day.
The half marathon includes a feedstation at Kentmere Hall and a water station later on the course. The 10k has one water station and drinking water is available at the finish. Participants are asked to carry their own water or bring a reusable cup as cups are not supplied at water stations.
Event facilities at the venue include an event village with food and drink stalls, retail stands, race commentary and live music, photographer coverage with free photos after the event, car parks for cars and small vans, and nearby public transport access a short walk from the recreation ground. Volunteers marshal the courses and medics provide event medical cover. Dogs are not permitted on the course and in ear headphones are not allowed; bone conduction headsets are acceptable.
