Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot
The Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot is a community road running event held in downtown Statesboro, Georgia on November 21, 2026. The event takes place around the Bulloch County Courthouse Square and through nearby historic retail and residential neighborhoods. The route allows walkers, wagons, strollers and family-friendly dogs on leashes.
Event formats include:
- 5K Run
- 5K Team entries with team discount for five or more
- 12 & Under Fun Run (100 yard dash)
- Employee and employee team registration categories
Registration opens August 11, 2026. Registrants who register by October 31, 2026 are guaranteed a race packet and a preferred t-shirt size. Registration pricing increases after October 31 and later registration deadlines affect packet and shirt availability. Early packet pickup is scheduled the day before the event at the Bulloch County Board of Education at 150 Williams Road; race day packet pickup is available on the Courthouse Square.
Proceeds support the Bulloch County Foundation for Public School Education. Funds are used for classroom innovation grants, seed funding and scholarships for REACH Georgia scholars, and local STAR Student/Teacher and Teacher of the Year programs. The Foundation is a charitable organization that has funded teacher grants and scholarships for Bulloch County students and teachers since 2006.
