Event overview
The Statesboro 5K Turkey Trot is an annual fundraising race held in downtown Statesboro, Georgia. The event is hosted by the Bulloch County Foundation for Public School Education, a 501(c)(3) organization. Proceeds support the Foundation’s teacher innovation grants, college scholarships for REACH Georgia Scholars, and local programs including the Bulloch County Teacher of the Year and STAR Student/Teacher initiatives. The route goes through historic retail and residential neighborhoods on and around the Bulloch County Courthouse Square. Wagons, strollers, and leashed family-friendly dogs are allowed on the course.

Registration and logistics
Registration opens August 1, 2025. Participants who register by October 31, 2025 are guaranteed a preferred t-shirt size and a race packet of giveaways. Pricing increases after October 31. Teams of five or more receive reduced per-person pricing. Early packet pick up is available for participants who register by November 14, 2025; early pick up is scheduled the day before the race at the Bulloch County Board of Education, 150 Williams Road, Statesboro. Race day packet pick up and late registration take place on the Courthouse Square. Awards and a 50-50 raffle drawing are held after the 5K.
