Entrant numbers are limited to 200 runners. Age limits are 13 or older for the 5 km events (run and walk) and 16 or older for the 10 km run. Walkers may enter the 5 km event. Entry fees range from £17 to £24 depending on distance and membership status. An optional coaster-medal is available for £3.50 and finish food can be ordered with entry; dietary options can be requested.
Course and race information
The course is a 5 km loop run once for 5 km or twice for 10 km. Surfaces include pasture fields, farm tracks and woodland. The organiser describes the course as fairly flat by their standards, but it can be muddy and uneven in places. Trail shoes are recommended. There is no mandatory kit.
Course markings use orange barrier tape, pin flags and coloured arrow signs. Critical turns and road crossings will be manned by marshals. One water station is provided for 10 km runners at the start of the second lap; water is available for 5 km runners at the finish. Toilets are at Race HQ. Parking is available on site with signage and marshals. Poles are banned. Single-track sections require passing etiquette and uphill runners have right of way. Runners are asked to respect the trails and dispose of rubbish responsibly. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
