FixAddiction 5k, 10k and Half Marathon at Dorney Lake
The event offers three running distances around Dorney Lake in Eton, Windsor. Distances available:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
The course uses paths and closed roads at an Olympic rowing venue. The route is reported as flat and organisers recommend road running shoes. The 5k turns at the far end of the lake. The 10k runs to the end of Drove Road before turning back. The half marathon follows out-and-back sections twice plus an extra section and uses additional parts of the Dorney Lake site. The course may be altered up to event day. Buggies are permitted and the route is described as wheelchair friendly.
Race services include a medal, free parking and full race chip timing with instant results. Results can be texted to a mobile device as participants cross the line for an additional cost. Race packs are collected at the event. Bag storage is available but very limited; toilets are onsite but there is no access to the clubhouse or showers. Organisers will provide recommended arrival information and phased entry to help with spacing, and they will give instructions when leaving due to other road users.
