FixAddiction 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon
The FixAddiction runs take place at the Dorney Lake Olympic venue near Windsor. The event features a fast, flat course set on a closed road environment primarily consisting of paths. Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- Half Marathon
The 5 km route involves a turn at the far end of the lake, while the 10 km course extends to the end of Drove Road before returning. The Half Marathon utilizes additional sections of the venue, consisting of two out-and-back loops plus an extra segment. Due to the nature of the path surface, road running shoes are recommended.
The event site is equipped with chip timing technology, providing instant results. Facilities include onsite toilets and limited bag storage. No clubhouse or shower access is provided. The venue is accessible by car with free parking available, or by train via stations such as Slough, Windsor & Eton Riverside, or Maidenhead, followed by a taxi or bike ride.
The course is wheelchair friendly and permits the use of buggies. Participants are also allowed to run with dogs, provided they remain on a short lead or harness. Race packs are collected on the day of the event at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
