State Games of Mississippi Trail Race
The State Games of Mississippi Trail Race takes place at Bonita Lakes in Meridian, Mississippi. The event features an off-road course situated on the trails surrounding the upper lake area. Participants gather at the boat ramp on the upper lake to begin the competition. This race offers a single distance for all participants:
- 4.6 mile trail run
The competition is organized into several age divisions for both male and female runners. These categories range from 13 and under to 80 plus, with multiple ten-year increments in between, such as 20-29, 30-39, and 40-49. There are also specific brackets for teenagers, including 14-16 and 17-19.
Recognition is provided for top finishers across the different categories. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded to the first, second, and third-place finishers in each age group for both men and women. Additionally, the event recognizes the first overall male and first overall female finishers with special medals.
Registration is available online in advance or on-site on the morning of the event. Participants who complete their registration by the specified June deadline are ensured a t-shirt in their requested size.
