State 47 Las Cruces Marathon
State 47 Las Cruces Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, January 9, 2027, with the start and finish at the Field of Dreams stadium track in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The event sits at about 3,900 feet elevation and is set among pecan orchards with views of the Organ Mountains and the Rio Grande River.
The event offers multiple distances:
- Marathon, USATF certified and a Boston qualifier
- Half marathon, USATF certified
- 4-person relay, four segments roughly 10K each
- 4.7K run walk
- .47-mile kids mini celebration run
Race services and features include chip timing, custom finishers medals, event apparel and drawstring bags, free professional photos, custom age group awards, and on course volunteer support. Awards for top age group finishers must be picked up on race day or the week after at Bluebird Running Company in Las Cruces; awards are not shipped. Packet pick up is held the day before the race at the event host hotel, Hotel Encanto de Las Cruces.
The program also includes virtual marathon and half marathon options with event swag and mailed medals. The event marks its fifth anniversary in 2027, has drawn participants from all 50 states and eight countries in past years, and has been selected as an RRCA Western Region Marathon Championship event.
