12k's of Christmas Southern New Mexico

This holiday-themed run and walk takes place at the La Llorona Multi-Use Path Trailhead in Las Cruces, with the start and finish at the south end of the La Llorona Trail (enter from Calle de Norte Rd). The event offers multiple distances and is pet- and stroller-friendly. Costumes are encouraged for both people and pets. Race day packet pickup and check-in occur at the south end of the trail, and early packet pickup is available the day before at Bluebird Running Company, 136 S. Water St, Las Cruces. Online registration is required.

Included with registration are a commemorative Southern New Mexico 12Ks of Christmas ornament/finishers medal, a custom event shirt, a sticker, a holiday bib, and a Santa hat. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers in the 12K and 6K events, plus prizes for best-dressed human and best-dressed furry friend. Proceeds from the event benefit the Las Cruces Symphony Orchestra. Over the past 13 years the 12K's of Christmas series has helped more than 2,200 pets find homes and has raised over $100,000 for animal rescue.
