YMCA Stars & Strides Memorial Day 5K
The YMCA Stars & Strides Memorial Day 5K takes place on May 25, 2026 at South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda, Florida. The event is a 5K distance of 3.1 Miles organized by the Punta Gorda YMCA. Registration is tiered: $30 for the early window from April 8 to April 30, $35 from May 1 to May 24, and $40 on race day. Eligible club and YMCA members receive a $5 automatic discount; listed clubs include Zoomers, Manasota Track Club, Gulf Coast Runners, Sarasota Storm, Ft Myers Track Club, Cape Coral Running Group, and Speedsters.
Packet pickup is at the Punta Gorda YMCA, 2905 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950. There is an in-person pickup on May 24 and a race day pickup option. The shirt cut off date is May 10, 2026.
Awards are given by age group with categories spanning 0 to 14 through 80 plus, plus overall awards for male and female divisions and masters and grandmasters categories. Snacks are provided after the event. Strollers and leashed dogs are permitted but must start at the back of the field.
