YMCA Stars & Strides Memorial Day 5K
The event is a community 5K (3.1 miles) held on May 25, 2026 at South County Regional Park in Punta Gorda, Florida. The race is presented by the Punta Gorda YMCA and proceeds will benefit the YMCA of Southwest Florida Children and Families Scholarship Fund.
Registration fee windows are defined by date: $30 for the early window beginning April 8 through April 30, $35 from May 1 through May 24, and $40 on race day. Cash is not accepted; payment must be by credit card or Apple Pay. Certain running clubs and YMCA club members receive a $5 automatic discount; participants should check with their club for the discount code.
Packet pickup is available at the Punta Gorda YMCA (2905 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda). A shirt cutoff date is set for May 10, 2026. Snacks will be provided after the race.
Awards are organized by age groups from 0 to 14 through 80 and over. Additional overall awards include Male and Female Overall, Male and Female Youth Overall, Male and Female Masters 40 and over, Male and Female Grandmasters 50 and over, and Male and Female Senior Grandmasters 60 and over.
