2026 Stars Kick Off and Starry Night
This orienteering event takes place on November 14th 2026 and comprises two races on the same day: Kick-Start, an O-CUP daytime race, and Starry Night, an O-CUP after dark race. O-CUP points are awarded separately for each race.
Both races follow the O-CUP handicap rules. Participants may skip checkpoints equal to their handicap point total. A waiver must be completed on race day; paper copies will be available at the registration desk for those who do not bring a signed form.
Race locations and registration points are specified for each race. Kick-Start is held in Bechtel Woods with registration around the back of the park near the baseball diamond. Starry Night is held in Breithaupt Park with registration near the parking lot by the playground and splash pad off Union Street.
Registration opens October 14, early bird fees end October 31, and registration closes November 12. Fees are listed by entry option: adult for two races, adult for one race, and junior or student. Fees listed include lower rates before October 31 and higher rates afterward. Race day registration is limited to ten registrants on a first come first served basis. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
