Stars and Stripes Honor Run & Walk
The Stars and Stripes Honor Run & Walk is set for August 23, 2026 at Veterans Park in Milwaukee. It is the event's second annual edition and directs proceeds to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight to help send veterans to Washington, D.C. Participants are offered a special opportunity to honor loved ones and veterans as part of the event.
The event includes multiple route options:
- 5K Run 3.1 miles
- 5K Ruck 3.1 miles
- 1 Mile Walk & Roll 1 mile
- Kiddos Run 0.5 miles
The run and walk share the same start and finish area but use different courses to reduce congestion. Walkers follow a route that turns left and goes to the end of the pier before returning to the finish. Runners follow a route that turns right, circles the lagoon, then proceeds to the pier and finish. For safety, participants are asked not to walk or run more than two abreast. Walkers and rollers should stay to the right because runners will be passing from behind. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
