Stansted House Trail Run : Stansted Park, Rowlands Castle, Hampshire
The Stansted House Trail Run takes place within the grounds of Stansted Park near Portsmouth. The course runs through South Downs woodland and open fields, passing the historic Stansted House and offering views across surrounding hills and countryside.
Three waymarked distances are offered:
- 21.4k Half Marathon with 269m elevation gain
- 16.1k Trail Run with 177m elevation gain
- 10k Trail Run with 116m elevation gain
The routes follow gently rolling trails with small ups and downs. Paths are mostly wide and runnable with generally good footing. Sections through woods feature canopy cover and potential wildlife sightings; open fields include areas of wildflowers.
Entries include chip timing, a high-quality metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie and a refreshing drink, plus a personalised certificate. On-course support includes water stations, refreshments and first aid cover located at aid stations and the event centre. Marshals are present along the route and the course is signed with pink arrows and pink tape; hazards and road junctions are marked with caution signs.
The event operates a plastic free policy at water stations so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Spectators are welcome. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
