Staggered Start 4.6 Miler : Newtown, PA
The Staggered Start 4.6 Miler is the final race in the Bucks County Roadrunners Winter Series, held on February 22, 2026 at Tyler State Park in Newtown, PA 18940. The course distance is 4.6 miles and the route is subject to change based on weather and park conditions.
Runners begin at staggered times determined by a concealed formula that incorporates performance in earlier Winter Series races. The staggered timing is intended so that competitors aim to finish together; overall speed in a single leg is not the sole determinant of placing. The event is offered as a single race registration; separate registration procedures apply for the full Winter Series.
About the Winter Series: the series began in 1978 and typically comprises 11 weekly races from December through February, weather permitting. Annual BCRR membership is required to register for the entire series; membership registration and series registration open in the fall. Participation in single races does not require club membership. Non-member single event registration is available onsite on race day only. Competitors who wish to be eligible for series awards must meet the series requirement of at least one race plus one volunteer assignment.
The listed entry fee for the event is $25. Course maps and additional event details are provided by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
