Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot
The Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot is an annual sports event held at Delaware Valley University in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Now in its ninth year, the event serves as a fundraiser for the Bucks County Opportunity Council. The competition features a variety of distances to accommodate different types of participants:
- 10K
- 5K
- 2 Miles (Jog/Walk)
- 800m (Kids' Run)
The event is held at Delaware Valley University, utilizing the campus at 700 East Butler Avenue. Participants are provided with jingle bells to attach to their footwear. The venue includes indoor facilities for registration, packet pick-up, and restrooms. Parking is located near the start and finish lines.
Competitive awards are presented for the 10K and 5K events only. Prizes are awarded to the overall male and female winners, as well as the top three finishers in various age categories ranging from 9 and under to 80-89. Participants in the 10K and 5K who register before the specified deadline receive a technical hoodie and a 3-inch finisher's medal.
The event includes an after-party featuring music, hot chocolate, food, and a costume contest. While not required, participants are invited to wear holiday-themed costumes or sweaters.
