Event Overview

The Stafford Hospital Spring Fever 5K and Kids 1/2-mile Fun Run takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, on the campus of Stafford Hospital in Stafford, Virginia. The event includes several race options.

Distances and Events

5K Run/Walk for participants aged 5 and over.
Kids 1/2-mile Fun Run for participants aged 12 and under.
Separate 5K registration categories are available for Stafford school employees and Stafford county employees.

Event Details

The 5K and kids fun run courses are USATF certified, starting and finishing at Stafford Hospital. The event is part of two race series: the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix, a series of twelve regional races, and the Stafford Race Series, a set of five local races. A team challenge is available, with an award for the largest group. Team registration closes on April 2.

Proceeds from the event benefit Stafford Hospital, funding various programs and services. For safety, the course is not closed to traffic. Headphones are discouraged. Baby joggers are permitted but must start at the back. Unregistered runners, unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and dogs are prohibited.

Awards

In the 5K, awards are given to the overall top three males and top three females. Age group awards are also presented for the top three males and females in categories from 14 & under to 70 & over.

For the Kids 1/2-mile Fun Run, awards are given to the overall top three males and top three females aged 12 and under. All participating kids receive a finisher medal.

Registration and Packet Pickup

Standard registration prices are $35 for the 5K and $20 for the kids run, with increases after March 23. Participants can register online on race day.

Packet pickup is available on Thursday, April 9 at Stafford Hospital and on Friday, April 10 at Lucky Road in Fredericksburg. Race day packet pickup and registration open at 7:00 AM.
