Event overview
The Stafford Hospital Spring Fever event takes place on April 11, 2026 in Stafford, VA on the campus of Stafford Hospital (Stafford Medical Pavilion, 125 Hospital Center Boulevard, Stafford, VA 22554). The event is part of the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix and the Stafford Race Series. Race proceeds benefit Stafford Hospital to support programs and services.

The 5K is open to ages 5 and older. The Kids 1/2-mile Fun Run is open to ages 12 and under. A separate 5K registration option is reserved for Stafford school employees and is open to ages 18 and older; that option listed available spots.
Registration for events opens December 31, 2025. Entry fees listed on the event page include $35 for the 5K and $20 for the Kids 1/2-mile Fun Run.
Course, awards and rules
Both courses are USATF certified and start and finish at Stafford Hospital. 5K awards are given to the overall top three males and females and to the top three males and females in standard age-group categories. Kids awards are given to the overall top three males and females 12 years and younger; participating kids receive a finisher medal.
Unregistered runners, unauthorized vehicles, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, and dogs are prohibited on the course. The course is not closed to traffic and headphones are discouraged. Baby joggers are permitted and must start in the back.
Packet pickup and team challenge
Packets are not mailed. Registered participants who register by March 16 will receive a shirt. Packet pickup is offered at Stafford Hospital and at a central park location in Fredericksburg; race-day pickup is available at the registration table. A Team Challenge offers an award for the team with the largest number of registered participants; team registration closes on April 9.
