About the race
The Staffin Triathlon Series and 10K takes place on the Isle of Skye with race activity focussed around Staffin Village and Staffin Bay beneath the Trotternish Ridge. The event includes triathlon distances and a separate 10k run, with open water swimming in Staffin Bay and bike and run legs on local roads.
Distances offered:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750 m swim, 19.2 km cycle, 5 km run
- Super Sprint / Novice: 300 m swim, 10.5 km cycle, 2.5 km run
- TriStart and Youth categories: 100–300 m swim, 1.7–5 km cycle, 600 m–1.8 km run
- 10k Run: out and back along the Garros Road
Swim safety and course details are provided for all triathlon categories. Wetsuits are mandatory and water safety cover includes motorised boats and kayaks. Transition areas are split between the An Corran Slipway and Staffin Community Hall, and some cycle sections use closed roads. Marshals, event medics, water stations, toilets and chip timing are provided. Participants receive a commemorative finisher medal, post race snack and goody bag. Race merchandise and food will be available for purchase.
Entry details note that online registration is closed and in person registration is available during the race weekend at Staffin Community Hall. The organiser publishes a refund and deferral policy with partial refunds and limited deferrals, and profits are planned to be gifted to the Staffin Community Trust.
