Staffin Triathlon & 10K - Staffin, Isle of Skye
The Staffin Triathlon Series and 10K run take place on Saturday 29 August 2026 at Staffin Community Hall and nearby coastal locations on the Isle of Skye. The venue sits beneath the Trotternish Ridge and includes an open-water swim in Staffin Bay, a road cycle section, and road and shore running.
Distances offered:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 19.2km cycle, 5km run
- Super Sprint / Novice: 300m swim, 10.5km cycle, 2.5km run
- Tri Start / Youth categories: 100m to 300m swim, short cycle, short run
- 10K run: out-and-back along Garros Road
Safety and course details note full water safety cover with motorized safety boats and kayakers, three large inflatable buoys on the swim, wetsuits mandatory, and a reported water temperature around 12.5°C. The swim uses an anti-clockwise out-and-back route with exit into transition. Transition 1 is at An Corran Slipway and Transition 2 is at Staffin Community Hall, approximately 2.5km apart.
Race services include chip timing, finisher medal, goody bag, water stations, event medics, toilet facilities, event photographer, and free spectator entry with nearby parking but no parking at or adjacent to the hall. Age limits and entry fees are published for each category, relay options are available, and registration is possible online or at Staffin Hall during the race weekend.
Refund and deferral rules are specified: partial refunds are available depending on notice period, deferrals carry an administration fee and are subject to availability. If the swim is cancelled for safety reasons it will be replaced by a short run with revised distances for each tri category.
