Skye Half Marathon
The Skye Half Marathon is a chip timed 13.1 miles loop on closed roads that starts from Portree on the Isle of Skye. The event on 13 June 2026 includes multiple races over the same weekend and is based in and around Portree.
Distances offered include:
- 13.1 miles Half Marathon
- 10K (age 16 and over; numbers capped at 160)

The half marathon route begins with a gradual climb from Portree, follows a downhill section and then a scenic single-track stretch that often runs near the River Snizort. The course uses fully closed roads and returns to a shared finish in Portree. The 10K starts from the 11km mark of the half marathon route and is supported by courtesy buses to its start.
Event services include electronic timing, plentiful water stations, a finisher medal and downloadable race photos. Age group prizes are awarded and registration categories include female, male and non-binary entries; prizes are awarded in the non-binary category though non-binary results are not used for overall rankings. The event supports three local charities and lists sustainability measures such as lift sharing and options to offset carbon through tree planting. Registration and bib collection take place at Portree High School in the days before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
