Skye Half Marathon
The Skye Half Marathon takes place on the Isle of Skye and is a 13.1 mile loop on closed roads that starts from Portree. The event includes a chip-timed half marathon and a separate chip-timed 10K on a single-track, closed-road section of the route.

The race provides electronic timing, finisher medals, event giveaways, plentiful water stations, and free downloadable race photos. Age group prizes are awarded across categories. Registration categories include female, male, and non-binary, and gender-neutral facilities are provided. Results note that prizes are awarded for first place in the non-binary category while overall ranking currently does not include non-binary results.
The 10K field is capped at 240 runners and uses courtesy buses to transport participants to its start. Both half marathon and 10K share the finish area in Portree.
The event supports three local charities: the Skye & Lochalsh Citizens Advice Bureau, Skye and Lochalsh Mental Health Association, and Skye Cancer Care.
