St Valentine's 30k
The St Valentine's 30k is a 30 km road race organized by the Stamford Striders running club. It takes place annually on the Sunday closest to St Valentine's Day. The 2027 event will be the 33rd edition.
The event is known for its organization by runners, with enthusiastic marshals supporting participants. It is recognized as a tough event, often used as a training race for spring marathons.
Entries open a year in advance and close shortly before the race. There are no entries available on the event day. The race has a no-refunds policy but offers a transfer system for participants.
Participants have the option to choose a "Trees Not Tees" contribution instead of receiving a race shirt, or to receive both a shirt and a contribution. Shirt sizes are described as an athletic fit that runs small. Runners can also register as a "Valentine Pair" if in a genuine relationship, which includes a box of chocolates and eligibility for a couples prize.
