St Valentines 30k
The Stamford Striders organise an annual 30k road race held this year on 14 February 2027. The Race HQ, start and finish are at Stamford Welland Academy, Green Lane, Stamford PE9 1HE. The event is certified accurate and holds a UKA race licence.
Entry is online only with a minimum age of 18 years and no on the day admissions. Registered runners collect race numbers with timing chips at Race HQ during the published registration sessions. Transfers between runners are permitted via the event entry system.
Parking is managed by marshals and signage with PE9 1HE for sat nav. A new car park system introduced in 2026 will direct arrivals to nearby car parks. The furthest car park is a 10 to 15 minute walk from Race HQ. Local arrivals are encouraged to arrive on foot or car share.
Race day facilities at Race HQ include toilets, a manned baggage area, pre and post race massages for charitable donations, hot and cold refreshments and professional medical cover. There are no separate changing rooms or showers.
The course is described as pleasant, scenic and rural. Water stations are provided approximately every 5 kilometres and offer jelly babies. In ear and over ear headsets are not allowed. Bone conductor headsets are permitted only if runners can fully hear ambient traffic and marshal instructions. A four hour cut off applies subject to the Safety Officer on the day.
Prizes are awarded in male and female top three categories, for the first and second Valentine couples and a cash prize is available for anyone breaking the open men or ladies course records. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
