St Valentines 30k
The Stamford Striders St Valentines 30k is a club organised road race held each year on the Sunday closest to St Valentine’s Day. The 33rd edition is scheduled for Sunday 14 February 2027 and is run over a 30 kilometre certified course licensed by UK Athletics.
Race headquarters, start and finish are at Stamford Welland Academy, Green Lane, Stamford, PE9 1HE. Parking is managed by marshals and signs; the furthest designated car park is a 10 to 15 minute walk from race HQ. Competitors are asked not to park on residential roads.
Entry is by online registration only with no on the day admissions. Race numbers and timing chips must be collected from Race HQ at registration. A Saturday registration window is available to reduce race day congestion, and on race day registration opens from the Race HQ.
Facilities at Race HQ include toilets, manned baggage storage left at runners' risk, pre and post race massages for charitable donation, hot and cold refreshments, and professional medical services. There are no separate changing facilities or showers.
The rural road course has aid stations approximately every 5 km where water and jelly babies are provided. In ear and over ear headsets are not permitted under UKA rules; bone conductor headsets are allowed only if the runner can fully hear ambient traffic and marshal instructions. The cut off time is four hours subject to the Safety Officer's decision.
Prizes are awarded in male and female categories and for Valentine pairs by combined time. A cash prize of £350 is offered for any new open men’s or ladies course record.
