Run for Cake takes place on 8 February 2026 at Ferry Meadows, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU. The event is organised by Zig Zag Running and is open to entrants aged 18 and over. Format, course and logistics

The event is offered in a 6-hour or a 4-hour format. Participants complete laps of a measured circuit: one lap is 5.3 km and follows gravel footpaths and some grass areas - a multi-terrain route. Standard lap counts given as examples include five laps for a heavy half marathon and nine laps for an ultra, with options to adjust lap counts on the day.

Race HQ and the aid station are located at the start and lap point. An aid station is available each lap. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Parking at the park is chargeable. Race registration and the event arch and gazebos are located near the main toilet block; baggage storage is provided but left at participants' own risk.
