Event overview

Zig Zag Running stages Run for Cake on 08 February 2026 at Ferry Meadows, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU. The event is run in timed sessions of either six hours or four hours. Entry is open to people aged 18 and over, with a maximum of 300 entrants and entries closing on 07/02/2026. Registration is at the race area near the main toilet block. Participants receive confirmation and race briefing information by email. The event is cupless; participants should bring their own bottle or cup for refilling. A bespoke finisher medal is provided to most finishers; a non-event finisher medal option and virtual entries are also available. Transfers close on 01/02/2026.

Format, course and logistics

The course is a multi-terrain lap of 5.3 km through the forest on gravel footpaths and some grass. Aid is provided at the race HQ/Base Camp at the start and lap point on each circuit. Participants may rest between laps and may start another lap if they depart the base camp before the session end.   • Half marathon standard: 5 laps (option to increase to 6 or 7)
  • Ultra standard: 9 laps (option to increase, up to 12) Parking at the park is chargeable. A baggage area is provided but items are left at the participant’s own risk. Road trainers are suggested; trail shoes are optional depending on weather.
