St. Rita 5K & Fun Run for Education
This community running event takes place in Alexandria on Main Line Boulevard in the Potomac Yard neighborhood, with start and finish locations just behind George Washington Middle School (enter via Mt. Vernon Ave.). The course is a flat, tree-lined out-and-back along Main Line Boulevard and Potomac Ave.

Packet pickup and race materials are available at St. Rita School (3801 Russell Rd) on dates to be announced, and on race morning near the start line. Participants who registered by October 28 are guaranteed a student-designed race t-shirt; later registrants may have access to a limited number of shirts. Race bibs are distributed at packet pickup.
Awards and prizes include cash, gift cards, and medals. Top overall finishers and masters receive cash and gift cards, age group winners receive gift cards, and top youth finishers receive medals.
The event is family oriented: strollers are welcome, there is no bag check, and free parking is available. The start area is steps from the Braddock Rd. Metro (Yellow/Blue Line). A sponsor expo before and after the races will feature booths with giveaways, games, and community vendors.
Proceeds support St. Rita Catholic School. Annual funding priorities listed for the school include $55,000 for classroom support, $30,550 for teacher support, and monthly appreciation events for educators. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
