St Peter Turkey Trot 15th Annual (2026)
The St Peter Turkey Trot is a community road race presented by St Peter Lutheran School and Dig Deep Race Events in Hemlock. The event offers USATF sanctioned 10K and 5K distances on a flat, out-and-back country road course that begins and ends on the school track. Most of the route is paved; the 10K includes a short stretch of hard-packed gravel.
Both routes head north along Raucholz Road from the school. The 5K turns around between Frost and Dice Roads. The 10K turns right on Pangborn and turns around short of North Fordney Road. Both return via Lunney Road, enter the church parking lot, and finish with a lap on the track.
Amenities and race services include guaranteed shirt options (unisex, ladies cut, youth) if ordered by the published cutoff, custom finisher medals, professional timing, and free online finisher photos. Post-race food items listed by the organizer include caramel apples from Jacques Orchard, string cheese, strawberry gogurt, and chocolate and white milk provided by the United Dairy Industry of MI.
Awards recognize overall male and female winners in both distances with turkeys plus plaques and entry incentives; top youth 13 and under receive apple pies and placement awards. On-site late registration is available for an additional processing fee. Net proceeds benefit St Peter Lutheran School, a 501c3 charitable organization.
