The Original St. Patrick's Day Road Race
The 40th annual Original St. Patrick's Day Road Race takes place in Calgary on March 14, 2027. The event is organized by the Calgary Road Runners and supports Diabetes Canada and the Calgary Road Runners as fundraising beneficiaries. Fundraising progress is listed with a goal of CA$5,000 and CA$145 raised to date.

Due to renovations at Central Memorial High School, the 2027 venue is Bishop Pinkham Jr High School. The event is capped at 600 participants. The main gym can hold 367 people and a heated tent will be used outside for overflow.
Pricing and registration details listed include a special $40 rate for the first 40 participants and automatic discounts of CA$15 for under 17 and CA$10 for over 70, to be deducted at checkout. Block pricing levels are shown for both distances. The policy states no refunds; transfers are accepted up to March 10, 2027.
Race package pickup times and locations are scheduled as follows: March 11 and 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Strides Marda Loop, and March 13 from 10:00 to 4:00 pm at Strides Fish Creek. Race day pickup is available for out-of-town participants at late registration at Bishop Pinkham. All participants will receive a finisher medal if they choose.
