Event Details
This is the 6th annual St. Patrick's Day 5k Color Run/Walk. The event is presented by Notre Dame Catholic School and takes place at its location at 1000 Moore Road in Michigan City, Indiana.
Distances
- A 5k Run/Walk - Elite event for runners who finish under 30 minutes.
- A standard 5k Run/Walk.
- A 1/2 Mile Kids Dash for participants aged 18 and under.
Registration and Fees
Standard registration fees are $30 for adults (ages 21+), $15 for students (ages 4-20), and free for children aged 3 and under. An early registration deadline applies. After March 11, 2026, entry fees increase and a race t-shirt is no longer included with registration. Online registration closes on March 16, and there is no onsite registration on race day.
Adult and student registration includes a race shirt. Adults also receive a $5 post-race drink ticket, while students receive a post-race drink or snack (with a parent present). There is an option to upgrade to a long sleeve shirt for a small fee. A family discount code (FAMILY20) offers $20 off total registration fees of $90 or more.
Race Day Information
Packet pickup is scheduled outside Notre Dame School on March 21, 2026. The event features professional timing by T&H Timing. Free parking is available behind the church off Duneland Beach Drive. Pets are not permitted, but spectators are welcome.
Awards and Activities
Medals are awarded to the top overall female and male runners in the Elite group, the top female and male masters runners (age 40+) in the Elite group, and to all Kids' Dash participants. A post-race party includes food from a Notre Dame food truck, beverages, and live Irish dance and music. An optional Golden Shamrock Hunt activity is available for an extra fee.
