St. Patrick's Day 4-Miler

This is the 24th annual St. Patrick’s Day 4-mile road race, held in Binghamton. It is described as a local tradition that kicks off the new running season.

The event benefits the community outreach programs of St. Patrick's Church. For the past 10 years, net race proceeds, approximately $40,000, have been used to support these programs, which provide food, clothing, and showers to those in need through volunteer efforts.

Participants can choose from different registration options:

  • The St. Pat's VIP Ticket includes race registration, a full swag package, and the post-race party.
  • The St. Pat's Lite Ticket includes race registration and the post-race party, but no swag.
  • City of Binghamton - Fire vs. Police Departments Challenge is a returning team challenge for members of the local police and fire departments. It includes registration, the full swag package, and the post-race party.
  • The Student Ticket is a discounted option for non-college students, including race registration and the post-race party.

Registration closes online on March 9. Race day registration is also available. The event features a post-race party with authentic Irish fare, including corned beef sandwiches, pizza, and Guinness. The BC Celtic Pipe and Drum band will perform at the party.

Awards are given to overall finishers and masters finishers, with cash prizes and hoodies. Hoodies are also awarded to the top finisher in each 10-year age group, while the top three finishers in each age group receive pastry treats. The swag package includes a traditional long sleeve cotton t-shirt featuring a new race logo for the year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
