Event Details

The St. Paddy’s Run offers a 5K and a 10K race. Both distances start together at the entrance to Evergreen Cemetery and finish in a common area.

Course

The course runs through Evergreen Cemetery. It is described as beautiful and runs through stately oak and magnolia trees, with about 90 percent of the route shaded. All miles and turns are marked, with digital clocks at most miles.

Registration and Entry

Registration is done online or in person at 1st Place Sports stores. There is no registration on the day of the race. Entry fees increase as the event date approaches. There are discounted fees for participants aged 13 and under, and 65 and older. There are absolutely no refunds.

What's Included

All finishers receive a finisher medal. All participants receive a moisture-wicking, technical race shirt. Sizes are gender-specific.

Awards and Prizes

There are overall and age-group awards for both the 5K and 10K races. An awards ceremony is held right after each race. The 10K race offers prize money (a "Pot of Gold"), with checks mailed to the top three overall male and female finishers and the top male and female masters runners. The 10K is also part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix race series.

Packet Pickup

Packet pickup is available at four 1st Place Sports store locations on specific days before the race, or at the race site on the morning of the event.

Other Information

The event benefits the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council and The Evergreen Cemetery Association. The race uses a timing chip on the race bib. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
