St. Paddy's Run 5K and 10K
The St. Paddy's Run occurs at the historic Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. Participants can choose between two chip-timed distances on USATF-certified courses. The routes feature a festive environment and run beneath oak and magnolia trees, providing approximately 90% shade for the runners.
Available distances include:
- 5K
- 10K
The 10K event is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series. The courses start near the entrance of the cemetery and conclude in a shared finish area. Digital clocks are positioned at most mile markers, and all turns are clearly indicated. For safety reasons, bicycles and dogs are prohibited on the course.
All participants receive a technical, moisture-wicking race shirt with gender-specific sizing. Every finisher is awarded a medal upon completion of their race. This event serves as a benefit for the Springfield Preservation and Revitalization Council and The Evergreen Cemetery Association.
Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 80 and older. The 10K race also includes prize money for the top three overall male and female finishers and the top masters runners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
