St. Paddy's Day Beer Run

Event details

The St. Paddy's Day 3.1 Beer Run is a 5k run held on March 17, 2026 in downtown Piqua. The event includes a drinking division where participants drink a beer or root-beer at every mile, and a "Non-Competitors" division for participants who do not wish to drink. Non-competitors will have a finishing time recorded but will be placed in the non-competitive division and removed from the competitive results. The course is a loop through downtown Piqua. Crooked Handle Brewery is the beer sponsor for the 2026 event. The race offers competitive prizes and door prizes.

Registration and logistics

Early registration uses tiered pricing: the first 100 registrants pay $30, registrants 101-250 pay $35, registrants 251-450 pay $40, and registrations after 450 pay $45. A family and friends discount applies: registering three or more people in the same transaction gives a $5 discount per participant. Opting out of a t-shirt during registration can provide an additional discount through March 3, 2026. Entries before February 1, 2026 receive a complimentary collectors shot glass; entries before March 3, 2026 receive a t-shirt. Packet pickup and final race registration are available at Can't Stop Running Co on March 15 and March 16, 2026, and at the race location in Piqua on March 17.
