St Nicholas Hospice Care 10K Run
The St Nicholas Hospice Care event is a 10K run in Bury St Edmunds held on Sunday 27 September 2026. The course starts and finishes at Angel Hill and passes through the Abbey Gate and Abbey Gardens, continuing up to Moreton Hall.
The route is partly on closed roads and then crosses Mount Road onto footpaths. The course is undulating and includes hills. There is a dedicated water stop at the 5K point. An event village with music and stalls is located at Angel Hill for participants and spectators.
The race will be chip timed by an external company. Live results are expected to be available on the event website shortly after the race, and official results will be emailed on the next working day. The event offers trophies for competitive runners and a running themed prize for the top fundraiser.
Fundraising is a central element of the event. Organisers encourage participants to raise sponsorship and suggest a minimum target of £100. The Fundraising Team provides support for fundraising. The previous year raised around £35,000. A local eight-week 10K training plan is offered with support from Moreton Hall Health Club and Moreton Hall Runners. Volunteer marshal roles are also available. The 10K is sponsored by Skechers Performance, and Bluesys IT Services Ltd sponsor the medals.
