Cinco De Mayo 5K
The Cinco De Mayo 5K takes place in downtown St. Marys, Georgia. This event features multiple participation options:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Taco Run/Walk
- Virtual 5K
The course starts and finishes at The Firefly Taco Cantina. For the 5K event, awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Age group categories range from 10 and under up to 70 and older. The 1 Mile event provides awards to the top male and female finishers. Individuals who cannot attend in person can participate in the Virtual 5K, which allows participants to run on their own and submit times between May 1st and May 10th.
Participants who register by April 19th are eligible to receive an event t-shirt. Bib pickup is available the day before the race at The Firefly. Immediately following the race, the venue hosts music and various activities for attendees.
This event serves as a fundraiser for Camden Gymnastics. One hundred percent of the proceeds are used to assist local athletes with state and national competition fees. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
