St Mary's Church Loop the Lake 5K at Lathrop State Park
This community event on June 13, 2026 is a 5K run and walk organized by St Mary’s Church in Walsenburg, Colorado. The course distance is 3.1 miles (5K) and proceeds will be used for repairs and maintenance of the church as part of its 125th anniversary activities.
The route loops the lake at Lathrop State Park. The surface is described as flat, using a maintained wide sidewalk alongside a well-used dirt shoulder, and it passes near the Spanish Peaks. Walkers are welcome.
Because the event takes place inside a state park, participants must have a park pass. Carpooling is encouraged. Online registration opens May 15 and closes June 12; the registration fee is $35. Walk-up registrations are accepted on the day of the event starting at 7:30 AM.
