St. LauRUNtius Fishtown 5K
The St. LauRUNtius Fishtown 5K is an annual community event held in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The race serves as a benefit for the St. Laurentius School. The event offers two main participation options with a shared start and finish line located at the Church of the Holy Name on Gaul Street.
Available distances include:
- 5 km (chip-timed race)
- 1 mile walk
Participants in both the 5 km race and the 1 mile walk receive a commemorative t-shirt and a medal. The 5 km course is officially chip-timed for those interested in recorded results. The event includes a post-race festival at the finish line featuring music and refreshments from Yards Beer.
Registration is open for various categories, including adult and student tiers for both the run and the walk. There is also an option for attendees to purchase access to the finish line festival without participating in the athletic events. Packet pick-up is organized at the Church of the Holy Name on the evening before the race or on the morning of the event itself. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
