River Bluff Trail Runs - St. Joseph, MO
River Bluff Trail Runs is scheduled for December 19, 2026, with the start and finish located at the McArthur parking lot, 1599 Douglas McArthur Dr, Saint Joseph, MO. The event is organized by a local trail running club and uses the River Bluff trails and Krug Park.
Distances
- 50K - two 15.5 mile loops
- 25K - one 15.5 mile loop
- 10K - shorter loop option on the same trails
Course and conditions
The route follows smooth dirt trails, crushed gravel paths, and sections with roots and rocky terrain. Each full loop has about 2000 ft of elevation gain, for roughly 4000 ft total on the 50K. Runners follow trails along the bluffs next to the Missouri River; some sections are steep. The course will be well marked and a course map plus a Strava link will be provided later.
Support and logistics
Manned aid stations will be placed roughly every 4 miles offering water and snacks. A monitored drop bag may be left at the start. Packet pickup includes an early pickup on December 18 at Tubes bike shop, 1826 Frederick Ave, Saint Joseph, and race day pickup at the start. Registration closes on December 16 at 11:59 PM CT.
