St. George Marathon information
The St. George Marathon is a road race in St. George, Utah, presented by Greater Zion and scheduled for October 3, 2026. The course starts in the Pine Valley Mountains and continues downhill into the red rock canyons around St. George. The event is a Boston qualifier and uses mixed timing methods: the first ten male and female finishers are ranked by gun time, while other finishers are chip timed.
Race services and logistics include an expo at the Dixie Convention Center for bib pickup and vendor displays, a Solutions Desk and Info Booth at the expo, clothing drop bags with U‑Haul transport to the start, aid stations, on-course fuel supplied as e-Gel, and course photographers provided by MarathonFoto. Busing is arranged from local parks to the start area and bib numbers are pre-assigned by expected finish time; runners must line up in the assigned start areas.
Safety and competition rules follow USA Track & Field regulations. The event enforces a 6 hour 15 minute time limit and may remove runners who do not meet cutoffs or who face health risks. Entries are non-refundable; transfers and deferrals are allowed with fees and deadlines and unauthorized transfers may lead to disqualification. The marathon distributes a prize purse of $100,000 to the overall top ten men and women. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
