St. Clair River Run
The St. Clair River Run is an annual running event held in Port Lambton, Ontario. The course follows the scenic St. Clair River, featuring a straight-line route without loops or turns for the longer distances. Participants travel through the township from various starting points depending on their chosen event, finishing in Port Lambton.
The event features a variety of distances to accommodate different participants:
- Half-Marathon: A straight route from south Courtright to the finish line.
- 10 km: A direct run starting from north Sombra.
- 5 km (Run/Walk): Open to all ages, starting south of Sombra.
- 2.5 km (Run/Walk): A shorter course located within Port Lambton.
- Minnow Dash: A 200m dash for children finishing at the main finish line.
The races utilize bib and chit timing for accurate results, which are posted both online and on-site. Participants benefit from organized pre-race warm-ups and bus transportation to the start lines. Finishers of the main events receive medals, while Minnow Dash participants receive ribbons. The event atmosphere includes live music and an awards ceremony.
