St. Charles Runners Club Flat Five : August 2, 2026
The St. Charles Runners Club presents the 45th running of the Flat Five on August 2, 2026, with events centered at Frontier Park on South Riverside Drive in St. Charles, Missouri. The event features multiple distances and a course run primarily on the Katy Trail to reduce impact on city streets.

- 5 Mile race (timed event)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (untimed)
- Toddler Trot, approximately 50 yards
The 5 Mile course is an out-and-back on the Katy Trail with course marshals at road crossings, the water stop, and at the turnaround. A lead and a trailing bike will be used to help ensure all participants finish safely. There are two water stations on the Katy Trail near DuSable Park, with volunteers passing out cups of water.
Post-race food will be provided at the Frontier Park bandstand. Live results will be provided on-site by Start 2 Finish St. Louis via text and email. Awards for the 5 Mile will recognize the top three male and female overall finishers and the top three in each listed age group: 19 and Under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and Over.
Packet pickup is encouraged at Fleet Feet St. Charles on the day before the race and there is race morning pickup available at Frontier Park. Swag details note a Soft Style short sleeve shirt for 5 Mile registrants and a shirt option for 1 Mile participants for an additional fee.
