St. Charles Blue Line Family 5K
The St. Charles County Police Blue Line Family 5K is a multi-terrain running event held at the Family Arena in Saint Charles, Missouri. This inaugural event features a unique course layout that combines different surfaces and environments, including pavement, indoor stadium concourses, and natural trails.
The route consists of the following distance options:
- 5 km Timed Run
- 1 mile Kids Fun Run
The 5 km course begins in the parking lot of the Family Arena. Participants navigate a loop around the venue lot before ascending stairs to enter the building at Gate 4. The path continues through the indoor concourse of the arena and exits via stairs at Gate 3. From there, the route transitions to the Katy Trail, which runs behind the venue, for an out-and-back section. The final segment returns to the parking lot where the race concludes.
On-site amenities include music, live announcements at the finish line, food and coffee trucks, and bounce houses for children. The event also incorporates a 1 mile Kids Fun Run which similarly utilizes the indoor arena space. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in the timed race.
