SSG Tanner Grone Memorial 5K
The second annual SSG Tanner Grone Memorial 5K is a memorial running event held in Gorham, New Hampshire at the SSG Tanner Grone Soccer Field, 46 Libby St. The event honors the life and service of SSG Tanner Grone and is organized by his sister and one of his close friends. It takes place each July to mark the month Tanner enlisted in the Army.
The 5K course starts at Tanner’s soccer field and follows a route through the town that passes Tanner’s childhood home and the schools he attended. Proceeds from the event will support a Gorham High School senior whose values align with those described by the organizers.
There are multiple participation options and fees vary by event type. Post-race refreshments, music, and yard games are planned for participants and attendees.
