Sri Chinmoy Mara-Fun Relays
The Sri Chinmoy Mara-Fun Relays take place in Centennial Park, Sydney on Sunday 18 October 2026. The event covers the full marathon distance of 42.2km, which may be run solo or shared by relay teams of two, three or four members.
The course is a 4km loop through the park's ponds and groves. The full marathon comprises one initial partial lap of 2.2km followed by ten full 4km loops. Refreshment stations supply water, sports drink and fruit every 2km. Chip timing is used with electronic split times recorded for every leg.
Relay teams collect a timing baton to which the chip is attached. Each runner must carry the baton while running and hand it to the next runner within the designated change-over zone. Batons must be exchanged at the end of every loop; no runner may run consecutive legs. Each team member must complete at least one leg and may complete up to six legs. Teams nominate a team name and a team captain on entry and record the names and running order on a form returned with the baton at finish. A fee applies for non-return of any baton or timing chip.
Awards include medallions for solo marathon finishers and prize categories by age and division for both solo and relay entrants. Registration and the start and finish area are alongside the McKay Sportsground near the Robertson Road gates. Free parking is available along Grand Drive within Centennial Park. Entry fees vary by entry date with solo and team price bands. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
