Front Runners New York LGBTQ+ Pride Run 4M
The Front Runners New York LGBTQ+ Pride Run is a scored 4-mile road race in Central Park, with the start area near the Naumburg Bandshell at West 72nd Street in Manhattan. The 2026 edition uses the theme "Hearts in Motion: United in Every Stride" to emphasize unity and solidarity through movement.
The event traces its history to an inaugural race in Central Park in 1982 and has been organized in partnership among Front Runners New York, New York Road Runners, and the City of New York. In 2019 the event set a Guinness World Record for the largest pride charity run with more than 10,200 finishers. Front Runners New York is an athletic club founded in 1979 with over 1,200 members. The 2026 donation beneficiary is Housing Works, which provides healthcare and housing services for low income and unhoused New Yorkers.
Awards and prize structure are equal across the men, women, and nonbinary divisions, with monetary prizes for the top five finishers and a $100 time bonus available to a race winner who breaks the event record. Prize eligibility for the NYRR Member Division includes a paid NYRR membership active since at least March 28, 2026 and completion of the course in 28 minutes or less.
