Front Runners New York LGBTQ+ Pride Run 4M
The Front Runners New York LGBTQ+ Pride Run 4M takes place in Central Park at the Naumburg Bandshell, West 72nd Street, Manhattan on June 27, 2026. The event is a four mile scored race with the 2026 theme "Hearts in Motion: United in Every Stride" and is presented as a show of unity and solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community.
The Pride Run began in Central Park in 1982 and established an ongoing partnership among Front Runners New York, New York Road Runners, and the City of New York. In 2019 the event set a Guinness World Record for the largest pride charity run with more than 10,200 finishers.
Front Runners New York is an LGBTQ+ running and multisport club founded in 1979 and has grown to over 1,200 members. The 2026 charity beneficiary is Housing Works, which provides primary and behavioral healthcare to 15,000+ low-income and unhoused New Yorkers, records 140,000+ visits annually across six community clinics, and operates 700+ supportive housing units with additional units under construction.
The event is a 9+1 program qualifier. Prize money is equal across men, women, and nonbinary divisions and is awarded to the top five finishers as follows: $500, $400, $300, $200, $100. NYRR Member Division prize money requires a valid paid NYRR membership since at least March 28, 2026 and completion of the course in 28 minutes or less; all prize divisions are determined by Gun Time. A $100 time bonus is offered to a race winner who breaks the existing 4-mile event record (current records by category: Men 19:35 2022, Women 21:56 2022, Nonbinary 20:43 2024).
Race number pickup is available at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street. Bag check uses clear bags no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep. Live unofficial runner tracking is available in the NYRR app, and official results will be posted on the NYRR results page. Awards are presented on site to the top three overall in men, women, and nonbinary divisions; age-group award claims are processed after the event.
