Brooklyn Duathlon : Prospect Park, Brooklyn
Brooklyn Duathlon takes place on June 27, 2026, in Prospect Park with the main entrance at Lincoln Road. The event follows a run-bike-run format on paved, tree-lined park roads and uses a small loop for running and a larger loop for cycling. Transition area is located by Lincoln Road.
Distances:
- Run: 2.2 miles loop on Joggers' Lane
- Bike: 10 miles, three laps around the park
- Final run: 2.2 miles loop on Joggers' Lane
Registration details differ by category. Individual registration carries a fee of $90. Junior and high school entrants age 14 to 18 register for free and are scored together with adults. Registration opened January 31, 2026; deadlines vary by category. Check-in opens one hour before the start and closes 20 minutes before the start. Day-of registration is available with a $10 late fee. No racing license is required.
Race logistics note recommended equipment and facilities: any type of bicycle is permitted, riders should consider wind when using deep-section or dish wheels, and no rental bikes are provided. Race numbers have specified placement for jersey, bicycle, and helmet. Portable restrooms will be located by transition; water and trash bags will be available at the check-in table. Public parking is limited; the Prospect Park Q train station is the closest transit option.
Results and photos are published after the event, with online results and photos normally available within 48 hours. Awards include medals for the top three men and women, special awards for winners, and finisher medals and training jerseys for participants.
