Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail 100
The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail 100 is a 100 km trail event that follows a large loop through central, south and north Canberra, starting and finishing at Rond Terrace near Lake Burley Griffin in the Parliamentary Triangle. It runs through hills, nature parks and open spaces and includes urban trail sections and off‑road singletrack.
The route passes many named Canberra features including Lake Burley Griffin, Parliament House, Red Hill, Isaacs Ridge, Farrer Ridge, Mt Taylor, Mt Arawang, Cooleman Ridge, Stromlo Forest Park, the National Arboretum, Cork Oaks, Black Mountain Reserve, Mt Majura and Mt Ainslie. The course is waymarked and supported by drink and refreshment stations roughly every 10 kilometres, with relay transition compounds and additional checkpoints on each leg. Electronic chip timing is used and full results are published on the day.
Runners may enter as solo competitors or as relay teams of two to four, with four relay legs defined on the course. Registration is compulsory before the event and team composition changes must be recorded at registration. Number recording at checkpoints and transition areas is mandatory; failure to be recorded can incur penalties or search procedures. Mandatory equipment rules require every solo runner to carry a mobile phone and at least 500 ml of water or sports drink, and solo runners on late sections must carry a headlamp and be accompanied or pacered as specified. The event includes awards with medals for solo finishers and trophies for leading solo and team placegetters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
