Sri Chinmoy 5K Races in Battersea Park
In 2026 the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team stages four evening races in Battersea Park on Tuesday evenings. The series includes the Dashing Deer 5K on 23 June, the Battersea Relays on 21 July, the Hasty Hare 5K on 15 September and the Kangaroo Hop 5K on 29 September. Registration is online only and closes three days before each race or when the race is full. Entry fees listed for Battersea Park races are £10 with a club rate of £8; relay entry is £30 per team of three.
Courses are looped, flat and traffic free within the park. Race headquarters and 5K finish are on East Carriage Drive beside the Millennium Arena athletics track and near the Pear Tree Cafe; the relay HQ is adjacent to Rosery Gate car park. A bag drop is provided and a bag tag is mailed with the race number. A course-side water station is available and participants are advised to bring their own bottle. There are three toilets in the park with the closest to registration about 400 metres away near the bandstand. Showers are available at the Millennium Arena for an approximate charge. All races hold UK Athletics permits, the courses are certified for accuracy and results are recognised by Power of 10. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
