Sri Chinmoy 5K Races in Battersea Park
The Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team runs a series of 5K races in Battersea Park, with events scheduled in June and September and an annual relay in July. The series comprises three individual 5K races held on separate dates in 2026.
The course is two laps on traffic-free avenues inside Battersea Park. It is UK Athletics certified for accuracy and is manually timed to UKA standards. The route is described as flat and suitable for measured 5K performance.
Race headquarters are on Carriage Drive East between the Boating Lake and the Millennium Arena running track, about 30 metres from Pear Tree Cafe. The start line is approximately 300 metres from the Race HQ. All entrants must register online; race numbers are posted to competitors the week before the event and registration closes three days before the race or once fields are full.
A baggage drop is provided at Race HQ; items should fit in one bag and are left at the entrant's own risk. Facilities noted include public toilets in the park, free parking inside Rosary Gate or Chelsea Gate after 5pm, and showers and changing rooms at the Millennium Arena for a small fee. Minimum age for entry is 12 years. The event captures results in Male and Female ranking categories while also recording non binary times in the overall results.
