East London Runners - Valentines 5K
East London Runners hosts the third race in the ELVIS series in the scenic grounds of Valentines Park, Ilford. The event uses chip timing and carries Full Licence ID 31367. The course is a two-lap, flat 5 km route run entirely on park paths within the park perimeter and is traffic free. Other park users may be present and runners should follow marshal instructions.
Race HQ is located near the Melbourne Road Entrance, IG1 4LG. Race packs will be available for collection by club representatives before the race and timing chips will be attached to race numbers. No transfers are allowed before or on race day; unofficial transfers will be removed from the final results. Entries on the day are accepted for a fee of £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for non-affiliated runners.
Toilets are available in the park and gender-neutral toilets are at Valentines mansion cafe. Bags may be left near registration at the owner’s risk. First aiders will be positioned around the course.
The event states an inclusive policy welcoming entrants as female, male, or non-binary. Under UKA rules only male and female runners qualify for ranking purposes; non-binary finish times will be recorded in the overall results but non-binary entrants will not receive age or gender prizes. Prize categories include overall male and female top three and a range of veteran categories. Proceeds have supported local charities including The Magpie Project.
