Sri Chinmoy 5k Silverknowes, Edinburgh
The Sri Chinmoy 5k at Silverknowes is a Scottish Athletics permitted road race and the Scottish Athletics 5k Road Race Championships event scheduled for Friday 1 May 2026. The race is contested over a single 5k distance on a traffic free, out and back course along the banks of the River Forth. The course is flat and described as conducive to fast times.
Facilities at the start and finish include tented registration and changing areas, portable toilets and a nearby cafe. Chip timing is used for results. Organisers provide water in paper cups at the finish and ask participants to bring their own bottle or cup to reduce waste. There are no shower facilities on site.
Entry details state that entries will go live on Entry Central at 6 pm on Sunday 1 March 2026. Entry fees listed are £15 for Scottish Athletics members and £18 for non members. Minimum age on race day is 15.
Awards follow Scottish Athletics championship categories with championship medals for top finishers in senior, junior under 20 and veteran age groups, plus team medals for senior and under 20 teams.
