Event Overview
The Sri Chinmoy 7 & 13-Hour Races are timed loop running events taking place in Seattle's Magnuson Park. The course is a 1.54-mile scenic loop offering views of Lake Washington and sections of wooded single track, with a mixed surface of pavement, gravel, and chip stone.
Race Details
Participants can choose between two race formats: a 13-hour solo event and a 7-hour solo event. The races feature chip lap counting and a single, well-stocked aid station. All races are open to runners 18 and older.
Course & Facilities
The course starts and finishes by the swimming beach, with ample free parking available. On-site facilities include washrooms, a solar-heated outdoor shower, and access to the post-race swimming beach. The aid station provides water, electrolytes, packaged food items, first aid, potatoes, simple sandwiches, nuts, fruits, vegetables, and caffeinated drinks.
Included with Registration
A colorful, inspired-design running t-shirt is included in the entry fee for those who register by April 23rd. All participants receive a medallion and certificate. A post-race boxed vegetarian meal is provided. Awards are given to the top two male and female finishers in both "Under 60" and "60 & Over" categories.
Organization
The event is sponsored by the Sri Chinmoy Marathon Team, an organization founded in 1977 that hosts running and multi-sport events worldwide.
