Squirrel Run

Squirrel Run is an annual memorial running and family event held at Pageant Field, Merrymount Parkway in Quincy, MA on June 6, 2026. The day combines a 5K run, a 5K fitness walk, and children's races, games, and rides as part of a family fun day. Proceeds benefit The Angel Fund for ALS Research.

Event distances include:

• 5K run - 3.1 miles
• 5K fitness walk - 3.1 miles

Registration opens January 31, 2026 and closes May 31, 2026 for the 5K run and the 5K fitness walk; children's event registration closes on June 6, 2026. Listed fees are $40 for the 5K run and 5K fitness walk and $15 per child for children's events. The first 150 online registrants receive a goodie bag and all registrants receive a souvenir t-shirt. Same-day registration is accepted and race numbers will not be mailed in advance.

The event program includes entertainment for children, on-site refreshments, and post-event sales and sampling. Awards are presented for competitive runners, including top male and female, top high school and middle school finishers, and age-group awards for 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80-plus. Early bib pick up is available at the race location a few days before the event; additional bib pick up is available on race morning at the venue.
