Event overview
Squirrel Run XXVIII is the 28th annual memorial run for ALS held on June 6, 2026 in Quincy, MA. The event features a 5k run, a 5k fitness walk and a family fun day with children’s races, games and rides. Proceeds will benefit The Angel Fund for ALS Research. Break Rock Brewing Co. will be on site offering samples and selling cans.
Registration and logistics
Entry fees for the 5k and the 5k fitness walk are listed as $40 before June 1, 2025 and $45 after that date. Children’s events have a registration fee of $15 per child. The first 150 online registrants receive a free goodie bag and all registrants receive a souvenir t-shirt. Numbers will not be mailed prior to the race. Same-day registration is accepted. Early bib pickup will be announced closer to the event; otherwise bib pickup will begin on race morning.
Awards and categories
Awards are planned for top finishers and age groups. Categories include top overall male and female, top three male and female in high school and middle school, and top three in male and female age groups 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80+.
