The Squirrel Run XXVIII takes place on June 6, 2026 in Quincy, MA at Pageant Field on Merrymount Parkway. The event benefits The Angel Fund for ALS Research. It is presented as an annual community run and family day.

Registration and race-day
Registration for the 5k run and 5k fitness walk is $40 before June 1, 2026 and $45 after that date. Children’s events have a registration fee of $15 per child. The first 150 online registrants receive a free goodie bag. All registrants receive a souvenir t-shirt. Race numbers will not be mailed prior to the event. Same-day registration is accepted. Early bib pickup will be announced; otherwise bib pickup will be available on race morning.
Awards
Awards include gift cards, merchandise, and apparel. Prizes are given to top male and female overall, top 3 male and female high school and middle school competitors, and top 3 in each age group for male and female in the following groups: 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80+. There is also a prize for every 25th runner in the 5k race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
