The Squeeze the Day 5k is a fundraising event for the Methodist Children's Home of Southwest Louisiana. The event takes place at Sam Houston Jones State Park in Lake Charles.

Course Details
The course is flat. The route begins and ends at Sam Houston Jones State Park and runs throughout the scenic park grounds.
Awards
For the 5k, the top male and top female winners will each receive a $150 gift card to House of Sole. Age group awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be given in 10-year categories. All age-group award recipients will get a special handmade commemorative lemon dish.
Participant Information
A custom event T-shirt is included with registration for the 5k or 1-mile Fun Run. Registration is described as a non-refundable, non-transferable donation to the beneficiary.
