Sprint For Sight 5K
The Brevard Association for the Advancement of the Blind organizes an annual 5K run/walk held on October 3, 2026 at Gleason Park in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. The event includes an annual Sprint for Sight T-shirt; shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed after September 10. The location is a beachside park and the event listing notes prizes, free refreshments, and a grand prize drawing.
Registration opens February 1 and primary registration closes October 1. Published fees are: Adult $35 until October 1 and $40 on October 1 and race day; Students $30 until October 1 and $35 on October 1 and race day; Visually Impaired $25 until October 1 and $30 on October 2 and race day. Packet pickup and registration are scheduled the day before at Running Zone in Melbourne and the day of the event at Gleason Park.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, top masters (40+) male and female, and top three visually impaired participants male and female. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in the following groups: 8 and under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80 plus.
