Springtide 50k
The Springtide 50k is a single-loop, 50 km trail race that starts and finishes at Arundel Football Club in Arundel, West Sussex. The route runs through the South Downs National Park, beginning by Arundel Castle and passing Houghton Forest, Eartham Wood, Findon, Angmering Park and Wepham Woods before finishing along the River Arun back to the castle.
The course is almost entirely on trails with 99 percent trail and 1 percent road, and has about 3,200 ft of ascent and descent. The route is fully signed for navigation and includes four well stocked aid stations. The event provides live GPS tracking, chip timing and mandatory GPS trackers for entrants.
This race holds a permit ARC/26/0230 and is a UTMB Index event worth 2 ITRA points. Minimum age to enter is 20 years and no qualifier is required. Entries are accepted on a first come, first served basis, with a waitlist once the race is full; entries close two weeks before the race or when limits are reached. The published entry fee is £78 and this includes the mandatory GPS tracker.
Included for participants are a bespoke finisher medal, winner trophies, downloadable photos, prizes for male and female winners in veteran categories 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+, event insurance and medical cover.
