Springtide 50k
The Springtide 50k is an ultra-distance running event held in the historic town of Arundel, West Sussex. The race consists of a single loop course that starts and finishes at the Arundel Football Club. The route is 99% trail and 1% road, transitioning through various landscapes within the South Downs National Park.
The course features approximately 3,200 feet of total ascent and descent. Starting near Arundel Castle, participants head toward the South Downs, passing through Houghton Forest and Eartham Wood. The path then loops back toward Findon, traveling through Angmering Park and Wepham Woods. The final section follows the River Arun until it returns to the castle. The terrain includes grass trails, farm tracks, and forest paths.

The event is fully marked and includes four aid stations positioned along the route. It is an ITRA-certified race worth 2 points and serves as a UTMB Index race. It also forms part of the South Downs 50k Triple Crown series. Registration is open to anyone over the age of 20 without a qualification requirement. Participants are monitored via live GPS tracking, and the event has an 11-hour cutoff period. Finishers receive a medal, and prizes are awarded to winners in various age categories from 40+ to 70+.
