Springtide 50k
The Springtide 50k is a single loop trail ultra that starts and finishes in Arundel, West Sussex, with the route beginning beside Arundel Castle. The course runs through the South Downs National Park and passes Houghton Forest, Eartham Wood, Findon, Angmering Park and Wepham Woods before following the River Arun back to the finish.
The distance is 50 km with approximately 3,200 ft of ascent and descent. The route is waymarked and reported as 99% trail and 1% road. Four aid stations are provided along the course. The race holds a permit (ARC/26/0230) and is a UTMB Index event worth 2 ITRA points.
Entries are accepted on a first come, first served basis, with a waitlist once the field is full; entries close two weeks before the event or when limits are reached. The minimum age for participants is 20 and no qualifying race is required. Timing is chip based and live GPS tracking is used; a mandatory GPS tracker is included in the entry price. The event package includes a bespoke finisher medal, winner trophies, downloadable race photos, medical cover and prizes for male and female winners in veteran categories 40+, 50+, 60+ and 70+.
