Springdale 5K
The Springdale 5K is a certified and officially timed running and walking event held in Camden, South Carolina. The course is situated on the grounds of the Historic Springdale Race Course and the National Steeplechase Museum. The route concludes at the gates of the Carolina and Colonial Cup. The event is open to participants of various ages and abilities, and specific provisions are made for those with strollers or dogs on leashes.

The course features a single water station and is managed by volunteers positioned along the path to assist participants. Registered runners receive a race shirt, provided they complete their registration by the August deadline. Participants also have access to waffles with various toppings at the finish line. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions, and registration fees are non-refundable.
Proceeds from the race support health and homeless initiatives managed by the United Way of Kershaw County. Specifically, funds benefit the Mobile Nutrition Center, a program that delivers fresh produce, meats, and grocery staples to rural areas facing food insecurity and transportation barriers.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three finishers in the masters category (ages 40 and over). Custom awards are also provided for the top three male and female finishers across various five-year age groups. Packet pick-up is held the day prior to the race at a local brewery in Camden and is also available on-site on the morning of the event.
