Event Overview
The Springdale 5K is a certified and officially timed 5K run and walk in Camden, South Carolina. It is held on the grounds of the Historic Springdale Race Course and the National Steeplechase Museum. The finish line is at the gates of the Carolina and Colonial Cup.
Course and Logistics
The course includes one water stop. The event provides volunteers to guide participants and cheer them on. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the Springdale National Steeplechase Museum.
Packet pickup is also offered the day before the race at Greener Pastures Brewing Co. on Broad Street in Camden. Registered participants with a race bib receive a free beverage during this pickup.
Registration and Amenities
Registration includes a race shirt for those registered by August 15, 2026, though shirts are not guaranteed after that date. After the race, there are free waffles with toppings available for registered runners.
Dogs on leashes and children in strollers are welcome. The event is held rain or shine and is non-refundable.
Charitable Cause
Race proceeds benefit the Mobile Nutrition Center, a mobile food pantry serving rural Kershaw County. The United Way of Kershaw County operates health and homeless initiatives supported by this event.
Awards
Overall and Masters (40+) awards are given to the top three male and female finishers. Age group awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in five-year increments. Winners receive a custom Golden Horseshoe Award. Awards must be picked up on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
