Mt. Moriah 5K
The Mt. Moriah 5K is a community road race held in Camden, South Carolina, with the start and finish at Mt. Moriah Outreach Inc., located at 813 Broad Street. Net proceeds provide Thanksgiving meals for the local community; since 2021 the outreach organization reports having served more than 4,000 meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The event proceeds regardless of weather and does not offer refunds.
The course is certified by USATF and is described as a fast out-and-back with a minimal incline approaching the turnaround. The primary distance for the event is 5K. Dogs are permitted on course when kept on a leash.
Packet pick up is scheduled at Mt. Moriah Outreach Inc. the day before the race and also on race morning. A guarantee shirt deadline is listed as October 24, 2026; finisher medals and shirts are pending final design.
Awards are given immediately after the race and include the top three men and women overall, the top three masters age 40 and over, and the top three men and women in age categories starting at 14 and under and continuing in five year increments up to 75 and over.
