Mt. Moriah 5K : Camden, SC
The Mt. Moriah 5K is a community road race held in Camden, South Carolina, with proceeds supporting Mt. Moriah Outreach Inc. Net proceeds provide Thanksgiving meals for the local community; since 2021 the organization reports having served over 4,000 meals for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The course is USATF certified and is described as a fast down-and-out route with a minimal incline toward the turnaround. The race starts and finishes at Mt. Moriah Outreach Inc, and dogs on leash are permitted. The event is held rain or shine; no refunds are offered.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at Mt. Moriah Outreach Inc on November 6 from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, and on race morning from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM. Awards are presented immediately after the race; competitors must be present or coordinate with the race director prior to leaving. Award categories include top three men and women overall, top three masters (40+), and top three men and women in age groups from 14 and under and then every five years up to 75 and up, with no double dipping. Finisher medals and shirts are pending design.
Registration is tiered with changing fees over time, a guarantee shirt deadline of October 24, 2026, and a 5% discount per registrant for multi-person registrations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
